the fourth trimester.

god this was such a beautiful time. falling in love with my suns and myself again.

indulging in self-care and laying up like a goddess when I want to.

dipping into the ocean, sinking into the earth.

crying and raging when i need to.

loving, healing, adoring. making.

i am so proud of myself. my womb. my heart. my hands. my breasts. my skin. my hair. my eyes. my face.

cutting what needs to be cut, feeding what needs to be fed.

creating what needs to be made.

i am so full.

my universe is so bomb.

lets get it.

you create your reality.
turn your magic on.

when I read this interview I felt it in my soul. and then I binged on cool moms. thank you elise.

“I think art is the way I cope with a lot of things. It’s how I level with the truth, and it makes certain experiences—like trauma and pain—feel as if they’re not in vain. When we have really life-changing experiences—yes, we can grow from them and become better people and all that—but I feel most accomplished if I’m able to create a tangible reminder of that point in time. The book is a beautiful thing that can mean so much to so many people, but for me, it’s a creation of healing. And that’s important to me. I feel like once I make the thing, then I can walk away from it. Now it’s like, that was that time.

If your evolution and your change are authentic, the people who fuck with you are going to grow with you.

There's nothing that I think is a greater privilege than getting to intimately watch someone become themselves.

I think there’s a privilege to being a “cool mom” because it’s someone who is able to continue to make their identity and their passions a priority, while still prioritizing parenting. But it doesn’t work like that every day. I have days where I feel like I really killed motherhood, and we had an amazing day. And then there are days where I'm like, “I want you to sit in the playpen, and I want you to watch Sesame Street for like five hours so I can do all of this stuff.” I think I'm a much better artist or writer or host on those days.”

“Do you know magic? Can you utter the name of your soul and bring yourself back to light? Can you speak your destiny, create life for yourself from yourself as Temu created Ra? From the light of your works do you know who you are?”

The History of Creation / Awakening Osiris

There is nothing better than being a free flowing individual without any ties — floating around the world without responsibility.

But there is nothing more divine than consciously co-creating a life and absolutely no way to describe the incredible love and power that comes with pouring yourself into that creation. Helping to define and shape the story of a new soul that chose you for life.

I am cherishing every moment, they’re all happening so fast. I am so excited to show you the world and see it through your eyes, to read you every book in my library and make sure you always know your truth, to help you achieve each idea you dream up.

To show you two people in love, masculine and feminine balance. Two people who if possible, love each other even more because of you.

“I am life rushing on, born from the egg of the world, from the belly of a magic woman, born of my father’s dreams. I am the screech of wind, the rush of falcon wings, talons sharp as knives. I came after you. I stand before you. I am with you always.”

The Speeches: Horus Speaks / Awakening Osiris

one new moon prior I was a mother rising, a mama becoming. surrounded by other divine mama goddesses coming together to spiritually lift me and celebrate this special journey in my life through sacred ritual.

three weeks ago I was laboring, my body naturally experiencing all of the things it was created to do. and finally ascension and pure bliss as my sun was born physically into the world and all of the pain washed away.

yesterday, today, tomorrow. I am blessed beyond anything I could have ever asked for.

heru matisse is here.

lately everything naimonu posts is in perfect alignment with my current experience.

“any time i am looking to somebody else as my source, i’m coming from scarcity. i am no longer trusting God, or the Universe, for my harvest. it’s reasonable for me to have expectations based on what somebody i trust has committed to. and it’s natural for me to feel disappointed when that somebody doesn’t come through. but when i feel more than disappointment, when i also feel anger, it’s because i deviated from my truth. it’s because i compromised my truth to get what somebody else promised. because when i’m really following my truth, i will be at peace with the consequences—whatever they are. i can accept somebody else’s truth, but i must live my own truth. and sometimes that means walking away from a relationship.”

aquarius

you are enough, dear aquarius. even though the world may be deeply imperfect, even though it may feel as though your work has no impact, even if the weight of being alive at this moment in time is sometimes too great to bear—you are enough. and you deserve a work life that allows you to be well and whole and that has room for your psyche. you deserve a home life that allows you to feel at ease so you can recover and return to the work you are doing in the world.

perhaps more importantly, you deserve to unlearn the patterns, habits, and behaviors that have far too much control in your life. you deserve to reclaim your family line and understand where you come from so you can be more honest about who you are and the place you occupy in the world. you deserve to be a good home for yourself.

you may find that there are those who do not value you as they should. those who you try and try to work on behalf of and who still shun you. what are they trying to teach you? for they may be your greatest teachers. while the urge to rage outward is difficult to resist, i say to you, heart heavy with affection, that the amount of rage and indignation you may feel is likely in direct proportion to the wounds you have not yet grappled with.

this is not a week for the mind, dear one. in fact you may find yourself frustrated if you attempt to use logic, theory, and words to gain the truths you need. the solace you seek is within song, it is within the quietness you are able to create for yourself, and it lives in your body. care for yourself deeply, for no matter who in this universe chooses to deny you, you need never deny yourself the love you need and seek.

capricorn

through all the shifts and movements, the career and home upheavals, trust that you are beginning to find yourself through it all dear capricorn. trust that you are finding a strength and resilience not easily gathered and not easily lost. as jupiter prepares to bless you with friendship, connection, and community, pause a moment this week to contemplate the kind of people you want to call into your life and the communities you truly want to serve. and choose your people not based on how much they need you, but on your ability to be of service to them while honoring the shifts and expansions you are going through intellectually. perhaps more deeply, can you find folks who can make room for the hidden creativity that is coiled deep within you? people who encourage you to create for the sake of your own pleasure whether it benefits them or not? find folks who remind you to listen to your heart.

be honest if there are relationships that need to shift if you are to move freely, especially if they no longer have room for the kind of life you are trying to create for yourself. while it may be inconvenient, now is the time to bring up the stuff you have been holding on to and the hidden urges and desires you may have been denying. if there is an idea that has been percolating in your head that is bold, brilliant, and perhaps a bit bizarre, stop repressing it. it may not be time to manifest it now, but accept the wilder parts of you, and ensure your community is flexible enough to hold all of you when you are ready to share your fullness.

if the mind grows frazzled or frustrated, sink into your heart and allow it to soothe you. rationality simply is not in the air this week, try not to resist the call to release into your flow.

taurus

may this week’s new moon in scorpio inspire you to fierce honesty in your committed relationships, business or otherwise. no matter how seemingly inconvenient, conjure up a place of safety in another, where there is deep sharing and deep truths that exist outside of judgement or manipulations.

may you have the courage to call the bullshit for what it is this week, especially when it leaves you laboring for way less than you are worth. may you look clearly at the arrangements in your life that rely on your goodwill and work ethic but still cannot hold you and see you as the sacred being you are.

you deserve relationships where you are cherished, whether they be professional, sexual, romantic, or within your family. if you are being taken for granted, it may be time to begin honing the boundaries you need to ensure you are not getting the short end of the stick. as you create those boundaries, remember to make room for the shifts you are undergoing on a spiritual level. make sure there is enough room for you to lean into the magic that is pulling at you and for the expansive knowledge that is beginning to make its way into your life. make enough room so you may build a relational life that is a salve for any disillusionment or weariness you may be grappling with.

kindness is wonderful, but not when it shackles you to relationships and labor that do not honor you.

newmoon.

capricorn

those wise enough to receive your blessings gain enormous value in their lives. some people will be able to acknowledge this and others will not. it is up to you to decide what you do when you realize a lover, partner, friend, family member, and/or boss is blind to your blessings. it is up to you to protect your resources so that only those truly worthy receive them. not all can or should have you. not every job deserves the best of you. not every movement deserves all of your energy. not every lover deserves your devotion.

it is a long process to acknowledge your own divinity, take a moment to pause and take stock this week. how have you aligned your life to better acknowledge what you bring to the table? how have you created boundaries around the greatness that flows from you so casually far too many take it for granted? and perhaps the real question is, if you are weary, how can you pause to catch your breath and wait patiently while all of your parts catch up? reminder—wherever you are in your process is exactly where you are supposed to be.

Most of all I am thankful
You are just what I prayed for
You are what I was made for
Yes, I'm for sure
Most of all
I just want to mean the most to you
Most of all, baby, I'm just tryna grow with you
I just wanna go with you
Cause you bring so much hope to the picture
Some of us do find the one
To fall in love
And off of the
Fucking face of the Earth with
Some of us do deserve it
A love that's true and perfect
Some of us been through it all before
Some of us do still come back for more

Everywhere that I go, everywhere that I be
If you were not surrounding me with your energy
I don't wanna be there, don't wanna be anywhere
Any place that I can't feel you, I just wanna be near you

And yes, I'm a mess but I'm blessed
To be stuck with you
Sometimes it gets unhealthy
We can't be by ourselves, we
We'll always need each other, and
Yes, I'm a mess but I'm blessed
To be stuck with you
I just want you to know that
If I could, I swear I'd go back
Make everything all better

My condolences to anyone who has ever lost me
And, to anyone who got lost in me
Or, to anyone who ever felt they took a loss with me
My apologies for the misunderstanding or the lack thereof
I'm sorry you missed the God in me
And I'm sorry you missed the light
I'm sorry you forgot the way I arose like the moon
Night after night with the burden to forgive
Eager to feed you everything
See, I'm a holy woman
I know what it's like to give life to a being without ever needing to press skin against one another
I've practiced how to hold my tongue long enough
I'm afraid I forgot to say goodbye
I'm afraid you're under the impression
That I was made to please you
I was under the impression you understood me better
The truth is, I'm a superwoman
And some days I'm an angry woman
And some days I'm a crazy woman
For still waiting, for still loving harder even if I'm aching
For still trusting that I'm still worth the most
For still searching for someone to understand me better

God, I agree so much. A week after debuting his fall-winter 2015 collection inspired by Diana Vreeland, Vogue UK featured an interview with American designer Marc Jacobs by Suzy Menkes. In the interview, he talks about young designers, the new collection and social media.

“You know, I am an older person now, I’m going to be 52 in a couple of months,” Jacobs says. “But I look at young fashion and it seems like it’s all the same – the idea of what is edgy or cool. It’s style with no substance; it doesn’t really seem born of anything. I don’t see the rebellion or edge in it. It just looks like a cliche: salad oil in the hair, Frankenstein shoes and the trappings of punk and all these other thing.”

He also goes on to take an anti social media stance. “I am so appalled by the whole social media thing,” he says. “I don’t get it, it doesn’t appeal to me, neither does a computer, or working on a laptop. I don’t want to read a book on a device. I like a book with a hard cover, and text on a piece of paper.
